We have professional solutions for every issue
Our dental practice in Soest offers home and nursing home visits in the Soest district to provide older and sick patients with ongoing dental care.
We would like to point out that the time available for our visits is limited. We therefore ask you to contact our dental practice in Soest in good time so that we can arrange a suitable appointment. We recommend contacting us by telephone.
What is possible on site with the patient?
We use a mobile dental unit for on-site treatments. This allows for a variety of common treatments, such as dental cleanings, denture fitting and repair, and oral health education. We can also perform minor dental repairs. However, there are limitations for painful problems as x-rays are often required for diagnosis, which are taken in our practice.
Who covers the costs of the home visit?
The costs for a home or nursing home visit are usually included in the catalog of services offered by statutory health insurance companies. When it comes to repairs or new dentures, the costs should be clarified in advance in each individual case. If patient transport is necessary, for example for procedures by an oral surgeon, the details should be agreed in advance with those responsible in the retirement and nursing homes. They are usually well informed and can help if you have any questions. We are happy to provide you with further information at any time.
Dental phobia is a serious problem that prevents many patients from attending regular dental visits. In such cases, treatment under anesthesia can be a sensible option to solve your dental problems painlessly. In our dental practice we offer the option of anesthesia treatment upon request.
However, it is important to note that anesthesia is not always necessary! For smaller procedures, analogue sedation may be sufficient.
Our anesthesia treatment is available to both adults and children. Due to high demand, we recommend making an appointment with us in good time to clarify all details and options beforehand.
Functional diagnostics play a crucial role in the treatment of temporomandibular joint problems. It provides valuable information that enables us to identify and specifically treat the causes of jaw joint problems and muscle tension.
If the mobility of the jaw joint is restricted or changed and the chewing muscles are tense, this can lead to significant dysfunction. This can lead to symptoms such as headaches, muscle tension, jaw clicking or tinnitus. Functional diagnostics allows us to diagnose these problems and take appropriate therapeutic measures.
Dental splints help overnight.
By making bite or occlusion splints after functional diagnostics, we can effectively combat jaw joint and masticatory muscle problems. These splints, often known as grinding splints, are typically worn at night and help prevent misalignment of the jaw joint.
In addition, poorly fitting dentures can also lead to temporomandibular joint problems. Here, functional diagnostics can help to individually adapt the dentures and design them optimally. If symptoms and muscle tension persist, it may also make sense to consider additional therapies from a physiotherapist or osteopath.
Healthy sleep is very important for our health, immune system and quality of life. Unfortunately, many people suffer from sleep disorders, which are often associated with annoying snoring noises. One way to reduce snoring noises is to use a so-called snoring splint. This splint causes the lower jaw to move forward, which at the same time leads to a displacement of the tongue and soft tissues in the pharynx. This allows more breathing air to reach the back of the throat and minimizes snoring.
Despite this splint, a visit to your family doctor is recommended to minimize the risks of obstructive sleep apnea. Otherwise it can lead to massive damage to your health!
